If you follow our Facebook or Instagram, you may have already seen a couple of little gems we found on a roadtrip two weeks ago. No, we didn’t buy them, but it is so rare to see cars like this just sitting along the side of the road that it still stops us in our tracks, and of course we have to share them with you too!
We were in West Virginia when saw the front end of a 1969 corvette sticking out from a car cover we had just passed and we knew we had to circle back to check it out. We knocked on the door of the house but no one answered. As we started to
walk back to our truck, a man in a pickup truck pulled up to the vette.
We asked if it was his and he said it wasn’t, but he knew it wasn’t for sale. He said that this car and another car beside it were parked
by two men going into the service (who knows how long ago) and they never came back for them.
After he explained this he said, “But, I was stopping because I wanted to ask.. are you interested in seeing a DeLorean that’s sitting up the road here?” Um, yes please! So we went with him back a dirt road to look at the DeLorean. He said someone had given it to a lady some years ago and she just parked it with the windows down and let it sit. It wasn’t for sale either, but wow- what a sight to see! Ultimately it’s sad to see what a beautiful car has become after years of neglect, but finding it and the ’69 still made our day! I hope your spring and summer includes some fun finds like ours!

1974 was the last year for dual exhaust. GM produced 12,356 4 speeds out of 37,502 total production in 1974.
