I drove it about 2 hours home. It runs and drives really nice.
We changed the oil and filter, the rear end grease and additive, and checked and lubed the chassis. We also replaced the 4 rubber brake hoses, upper and lower control arm bushings, upper and lower ball joints, sway bar links, 1 tie rod end, idler arm, tongue bushing, distributor, fan clutch, top radiator hose, and much more.
In 1979, GM produced 53,807 corvettes. Out of those, GM only released 14,516 with the L-82 engine, and only 2,357 in yellow, 6,853 with pace car spoilers, 12,321 with gymkhana suspension, and 12,353 with the 4spd transmission.
