ZZ350/345Hp GM crate engine, automatic transmission, 62,000 original miles, silver leather interior, power steering, power brakes, power windows, alloy wheels, glass t tops, dual exhaust, AM/FM/CD/Blue tooth radio, and much more.
I drove this corvette over a 1 1/2 hours home. It is a blast to drive with the upgraded engine.
We replaced the power steering control valve, power steering hoses, radiator, radiator hoses, sway bar links, fan clutch, distributor cap and rotor, seat covers, complete carpet set, and much more. We also changed the oil and filter, transmission fluid and filter, rear end grease and additive, and checked and lubed the chassis.
This corvette has had a lot of upgrades done over the years by the previous owners. They installed a GM ZZ crate engine with 345Hp, with 9.8:1 compression, GM aluminum intake, 4 bolt main block, Hooker Header long tube headers, dual exhaust, Flowmaster mufflers, MSD ignition, Holley 750 Carburetor, 3.54 rear end, and much more.
Did you know? 1981 was the last year for a carburetor on the corvette. It was also the first year for a computer in a corvette. This was the last year for the Saint Louis Assembly Plant and the first year for the Bowling Green Plant. GM only produced 4,310 Red corvettes out of 40,606 total production in 1981.
