Hello all,

July’s been a busy month for us at Hobby Car corvettes!  You might think it would always be one of our busiest, but by this time of the summer, pretty much everyone has usually found their summer cruiser (in May and June). They’re also not quite ready to commit to a winter project (we sell alot of those in late August and September).  But for some reason, this year we haven’t slowed down much at all.

We’ve had lots of sales, not to mention plenty of email inquiries and phone calls about Vettes. Why am I telling you this? Well, all of these phone calls and emails tend to include many of the same questions over and over.  So I thought I would use some of my abundant spare time (ha!) to write some blogs to answer these questions. The most common question I get, especially from buyers who are new to this market, concerns mileage exemption.

It sounds like a scary thing, doesn’t it? “Why would a corvette’s miles be ‘exempt’ on its title??”, “Isn’t that a bad sign?”, “Should I be suspicious?” NO! Mileage exemption is very common in classic cars, and for a good reason. That’s the short answer.  I’ve explained what mileage exemption is and why it exists in much greater detail in our blog. Here is the link to it. Check it out and you’ll be better prepared in your search for a classic corvette, or any classic car for that matter.

Keep an eye on our blog for more answers to those burning questions!

Until next time,
RJ Sottile
