Hello all,

We just got back from our summer vacation, which of course means we brought back a few “souvenirs” for you!  This year our destination was Myrtle Beach, SC. This became our favorite vacation spot eight years ago when we found out about the Myrtle Beach Corvette Club’s annual Corvettes at the Beach car show and decided to check it out. We loved the show and came back several times, but the last time we were able to attend was a few years ago, so it was nice to be back! The show has grown a lot since we’d been there last, and it is quite a site to see. If you’re ever in Myrtle Beach in the beginning of June, be sure to check it out!

Something else to check out when you’re in Myrtle Beach is the Wheels of Yesteryear museum. This car museum has all kinds of classic cars including lots of muscle cars. There were even three Corvettes on display. There are SO many awesome cars and trucks to see here and what’s here isn’t even all of the owner’s collection. Cars are rotated regularly, so we will definitely be stopping in on our next trip to see what’s on display! If you are vacationing in Myrtle Beach, you have to add this to your list of attractions!

Speaking of collections, we found some Corvettes to add to our own, as we do on most of our vacations.  The Corvettes we picked up this time were actually all from North Carolina.  We bought one on the way down- a very nice red 1980 4 speed that we took to the show and used to cruise the beach all week. It was perfect for the job! On the way home, we managed to grab two more- a 1973 white 454 automatic Corvette and a 1973 yellow Pro Street convertible vette.

Now that we’re back, it’s time to catch up on our work and get these new vettes ready to sell.  In the meantime, scroll down to check out some of the pictures of our trip.

Until next time,
RJ Sottile
