Hobby Cars is proud to announce that we are expanding again!

We recently acquired an additional property a few minutes from our main location. This property will give us a lot more space to hold our ever-growing inventory, and also includes a full garage where we can do more extensive work in-house to our corvettes.

We are excited about this addition, but even more excited that it means that our long-time mechanic, John, will continue to work his magic on our Corvettes.John’s father built this building in 1945 and John practically grew up there, learning to work on cars. He eventually took over ownership in 1972.John has been doing our mechanical work since the mid 70’s and knows Corvettes inside and out.  More importantly, he has become like a part of our family over the years and we want to keep him around here as long as possible!

So when we told him we were interested in the property after he announced that it was for sale, and he said he would be willing to keep working on our Corvettes part-time after his retirement, we were thrilled.  John is equally thrilled to be done dealing with newer cars, and to have the freedom to travel with his wife whenever they want, so this is a win-win all around!

We are excited to discover what this new location has in store for Hobby Cars and relieved that the cars we have had on our lot this summer will have a place to stay warm when winter comes!
