We changed the oil and filter and checked and lubed the chassis. We replaced the alternator, idler arm, sway bar links, leaf spring rubbers, fuel hoses, fuel filter, 4 brake calipers, 4 sets of brake pads, master cylinder, and much more.
1977 was the last year for the short back window. It was also the first year without Stingray badges on the fenders, and saw the return of the black exterior color option. Each early 1977 also had a polished horn cap, which was later recalled due to safety concerns over the sun glaring on it.
